Julie Wassmer 

Author of the popular crime series, Whitstable Pearl Mysteries. In 2015, the series’ debut novel was published by Little, Brown. Nine other books have followed, with the most recent, Murder at the Allotment, having been published in May 2024.

 

The books have been adapted for TV by Buccaneer Media as the series, Whitstable Pearl, with three seasons currently available on Acorn TV.

 

Julie has also worked as a writer on several notable TV series, including ITV’s London’s Burning, C5’s Family Affairs and BBC’s Eastenders, which she wrote on for almost 20 years.
