We are pleased to see Grant Gee's Everybody Digs Bill Evans be selected for the Horizons section for the 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which promises a curation of the most remarkable contemporary films.
Everybody Digs Bill Evans, a delicate blues portrait of one of the 20th century’s greatest jazz geniuses, conjures up an enchanting play of light and shadow to open a window onto his melancholy soul. The film, which won the Silver Bear for Best Director at this year’s Berlinale, reminds us that sometimes an intermission is part of the music.
