Brand New Derek Landy Series

HarperCollins Children’s will publish a new Derek Landy series, marking the 20th anniversary of the Skulduggery Pleasant series.

Editorial director Tom Bonnick acquired UK and Commonwealth rights in three books from Michelle Kass at Michelle Kass Associates. The brand-new series for readers 11-plus will publish in hardback in April 2028, with the second and third books to publish in 2029 and 2030, respectively.

HarperCollins Children’s Books will also be publishing a hardback deluxe anniversary special edition of Skulduggery Pleasant in April 2027 to celebrate 20 years of the series. The anniversary edition will also feature exclusive bonus content from Landy.

Skulduggery Pleasant, Landy’s debut novel, was first published in 2007 and became a series comprising 24 books, including 18 full length novels, multiple spin-off and companion novels, a graphic novel, and two original narrative podcast series.

HarperCollins Children’s Books will also be re-issuing the YA Demon Road trilogy, first published in 2015, with new covers in September 2026.
